UFo Announces Comcast Sponsorship & UFo Televised Events!

Coordinators of the new Unified Force Race Championship Tour have announced the major addition of Comcast sponsorship to the tour. The two organizations have also made an unprecedented agreement to televise at least two tour events in the inaugural championship season to Comcast digital cable subscribers.

The "F-2 Shockwave" in May at Pittsburgh's PA Motor Speedway and "The Ultimate" season finale at the Challenger Raceway will both be broadcast on CN8, the Comcast Network (channel 188) on a tape-delay basis. After the initial broadcasts, the televised events will be moved to Comcast's signature On Demand service under the "Your Town" folder. Viewpoint Productions will implement the filming and production of the events.

CN8, the Comcast Network reaches 850,000 homes in Western Pennsylvania and parts of Ohio, West Virginia and Maryland. The addition of these television broadcasts emphasizes the commitment of the UFo Race Championship presented by Comcast to provide maximum exposure for the race teams and race sponsors of the region as well as to generate interest and growth in the sport of Super Late Model racing. The UFo Race Championship presented by Comcast is proving to be one of the most exciting innovations in recent history for both race teams and race fans of the region.

"Comcast is excited about this partnership with the Unified Force Race Championship Tour, which enables us to bring the energy of super late model racing right to the many racing fans in our region," said Linda Hossinger, Senior Vice President for Comcast's Three Rivers Region.

The UFo Race Championship presented by Comcast is a groundbreaking new concept which aligns western Pennsylvania clay-surface speedways with unified rules and procedures and allows Super Late Model competitors to compete for over $316,000 of payoffs including a season-ending points bonus. The UFo Race Championship presented by Comcast is designed to help competitors control expenses by implementing cost-savings rules options and allowing the opportunity to compete in high-dollar events within minimal travel distances.
